The Gentleman's Rules in Roulette

Apart from rules in roulette, roulette etiquette must be observed in play. Roulette etiquette refers to the behavior of the players, or their code of conduct, rather than how the game is played

All players must place their best bets in time; once the spinner calls out "No more bets" then no further bets can be placed. Once the bets have been placed and the spinner has signaled that no further bets can be placed; you cannot retrieve or touch the chips you have placed on the board. It follows that you cannot change your bet once the spinner has signaled the end of the betting period. That's just the end of it.
